How to have your FireSignal account and data deleted.
FireSignal is published by 1338. You can delete your account yourself at any time, without asking us.
Open the app, go to the Account tab at the bottom, scroll down and tap "Delete account". You will be asked to confirm; after that it happens immediately and cannot be undone.
Already removed the app, or having trouble? Send a message to hallo@1338.nl from the e-mail address you signed in with. We will delete your account within thirty days and confirm by e-mail.
We ask you to write from that same address. It is the only way we can establish that it is really you; without that check, someone else could have your account erased.
Your e-mail address, the places you follow with their radius, your notification preferences, the registration of your devices for push notifications, and any Plus entitlement.
This happens in one go and no copy is left in our database.
Satellite detection data. That is about fires, not about you: it contains nothing that points back to you.
If you have had a subscription, we keep the invoice records for as long as tax law requires. In the Netherlands that is seven years. We do not use those records for anything else.
You do not have to close your account to remove data. In the app, under Places, you can delete each location separately with the cross next to it, and under Account you can turn off any kind of notification.
